Run it your way

On your PC, however you set it up.

Use CroStream in its own window, open it from a browser on your laptop, leave it running on a PC with no screen, or split it across a gaming PC and a streaming PC.

Free Supporter The browser, the screenless PC and demo mode are free. Two PCs is Supporter, in beta.

On your streaming PC

A normal app that stays out of your way.

CroStream lives in your system tray while you stream. Hover the icon to see whether you are live and how many people are watching.

Free

  • The desktop app is the main way to run CroStream, next to OBS on your streaming PC.
  • Close the window and it keeps running in the tray, so chat commands, redemptions and alerts keep working.
  • Have it start when you log in to your PC, with its window hidden.
  • It checks for updates, tells you, and installs only when you say so. Do it between streams.

From a browser

Your whole stream, on the laptop across the room.

Start CroStream without its window and open it from any browser on your home network. Triggers, macros, overlays, the media library, viewers and history all work the same.

Free

Keep the streaming PC busy with the game and OBS, and run the show from a laptop, a tablet or a phone.

There is no login

Anyone on your network can use it, so only turn it on at home or on a network you trust. Twitch logins from another device take one extra step, which the docs walk through.

A PC with no screen

A mini PC under the desk that just keeps running.

Put CroStream on a home server or a spare PC, let it start by itself, and control it from a browser on your laptop. No monitor needed.

Free For the comfortable

  1. Start it without a window

CroStream runs in the background and shows its dashboard to browsers on your network.
  2. Log in to Twitch

Once, from the laptop. A small helper called crostreamctl can do it from the command line too.
  3. Connect OBS

OBS can be on the same machine or another one.
  4. Let it start by itself

Set it up as a service so it comes back after every restart.

Two PCs

Game on one PC, stream from the other.

CroStream Companion is the same app, set to companion mode on your gaming PC. Pair it with your streaming PC using a six-digit code, then pick what runs where.

Supporter Beta

  • Your triggers and macros don't change. A Game started trigger works wherever Steam runs.
  • The connection is encrypted, and the code is only used for pairing.
  • Both PCs on the same network. Windows is the tested setup.
Pair a gaming PC

Enter this code on the gaming PC. It works for 5 minutes.

Demo mode

A pretend channel to try everything on.

A brand-new channel has no chat, no followers and no history, so it is hard to tell whether an alert works. Demo mode gives CroStream a whole made-up Twitch channel to run on.

Free

Turn it on in Settings, or from the Explore with demo data button on any page with nothing to show. Turn it on while you are offline, since your overlays will show the demo alerts.

Runs for real

  • Overlays, alerts and widgets react to it
  • Triggers and macros fire on the made-up events
  • OBS scene changes happen for real

Simulated

  • Chat, follows, subs and raids are made up
  • Nothing is sent to Twitch
  • Starting or stopping your real stream is skipped

Your data

It is all files on your PC, so it is yours to keep.

However you run CroStream, your setup lives on the computer running it. Back it up, move it, or hand a macro to a friend.

Free

  • Files on your computerSettings, triggers, macros, overlays, viewers, history and media sit in one folder. There is no CroStream cloud holding them.
  • A backup before every changeIt keeps the newest 20 copies, plus one per day for two weeks. Restore any of them in two clicks.
  • Logins stay outPasswords and your Twitch login are kept apart, and are never in a backup or an export.
  • Share and moveExport macros and triggers to a file for a friend, or copy the folder to move to a new PC.

Everything is in your config folder, on the computer running CroStream.

Free to use

Run your stream with CroStream.

Everything on this page is in the desktop app. Most of it is free; a Twitch sub to Haliebug13, and a free Prime sub counts, unlocks the rest.
