OBS Studio

The editor

Lay out a scene, layer by layer.

An overlay is one see-through scene for OBS: your webcam frame, the chat box, a goal bar, a Starting soon screen. Drop things on, drag them into place, and it shows in OBS as you work.

Any size you stream at

Landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16, from 720p up to 4K. Match OBS and everything stays sharp.

One theme, every colour

Eight colours and two fonts per overlay. Change Primary once and everything following it changes with it.

Text with polish

Gradient fills, outlines, shadows, glow, 3D depth and marker-pen highlights on any text.

Alerts

Thank every viewer, right on stream.

A follow, sub, gift, cheer, raid or channel point reward pops up with a picture, the viewer's name and a sound. The Add alert wizard builds the trigger and macro behind it for you.

OBS Studio

Set one up in three steps

  1. Event (done)

Pick when: a follow, sub, gift, cheer, raid or reward.
  2. Look (done)

Choose a picture, write the headline and add a sound.
  3. Behavior

Set how long it shows and how it enters.

Headlines fill in the details for you, like the viewer's name and how many bits.

They never talk over each other

Queue
  1. Showing lunarfoxraid, 42 viewers
  2. Waiting pixelpandafollow
  3. Waiting nova_kfollow
  4. Waiting moonbeamcheer, 500 bits

Each overlay has its own line, with room for 50 waiting.

Into OBS

One click makes the OBS source.

Every overlay has its own address that OBS shows as a browser source. With CroStream connected to OBS, Add to OBS creates the source in the scene you pick, at the right size, with its sound going through the OBS mixer.

  1. Open the overlay's menu (done)

On the Overlays page, click the three dots on its card.
  2. Choose Add to OBS (done)

Pick the scene to add it to and check the source name.
  3. Add source

The size is filled in from the overlay. Leave Control audio via OBS on.

Edit and it updates. Changes you make in the editor show in OBS straight away, and your macros can change what an overlay shows mid-stream.

Make it yours

Share a widget, or write your own.

A widget someone made for you is one file to import. And if you like to tinker, any element takes your own CSS, and you can build whole widgets from scratch.

Pass a widget to a friend

Export any custom widget as a single file. Your friend clicks Import, picks the file, and it's in their library.

For tinkerers

Optional

You never need to write code. But if you do, it's all there.

  • Custom CSSRestyle one element or the whole overlay, with named parts to target.
  • Your own widgetsBuild new elements in a checking editor, then export or share them.
